The Wijnfeld sommelier
A sommelier who knows your cellar
The sommelier in Wijnfeld is not a generic wine chatbot. For every question about your stock, quantities, locations, purchase prices, drinking windows or personal taste it first looks at your own data, through controlled functions. It never invents stock, prices or vintages.
Ask what to drink with a dish and it weighs which bottles you have that fit, takes drinking windows and reservations into account and tells you why it picks a bottle. If nothing suitable is in stock, it says so honestly and suggests a style or something to buy.
Tell it clearly that you opened a bottle yesterday and it writes that bottle off. If it is unsure which wine you mean, it asks first. It never writes off a bottle just because it recommended it.

Good to know
Can I create an account myself?
Yes. Create a free Starter account in a minute with your email address and a password. You can upgrade to Pro or Premium at any time from your account.
Does Wijnfeld work on my phone and tablet?
Yes. The full web app works on smartphone, tablet and desktop. On your phone you can also install Wijnfeld as an app on your home screen. Private cellar data is deliberately not stored offline on your device.
Does the sommelier make things up about my cellar?
No. For factual questions about stock, quantities, locations, prices and drinking windows the sommelier always uses controlled Wijnfeld functions that return only your data. Estimates, such as an expected personal score, are always presented as estimates with a confidence percentage.
Can the sommelier just write off a bottle?
Only if you state unambiguously that a bottle was actually drunk, for example “we drank one bottle of Château X 2018 yesterday”. A question like “shall we drink Château X tonight?” changes nothing. If Wijnfeld is unsure which wine you mean, it asks first.
How do I link WhatsApp?
In your account choose WhatsApp and enter your phone number. You receive a one-time code that you send from that number to Wijnfeld. That is how we know the number is yours. After that, simply send your questions to the Wijnfeld number.
How many questions can I ask the sommelier?
Every plan includes a monthly number of sommelier questions for the web app and WhatsApp combined: Starter 20, Pro 300 and Premium 1,000. This keeps AI and WhatsApp message costs in balance with the subscription price. You can see your usage in the web app.
Can I import or export my collection?
Yes. Download the CSV template in Wijnfeld, fill it in and import up to 1,000 rows at a time. A row with six bottles becomes six individual bottles. You can export your current inventory as CSV at any time.
What happens to my data?
Your data is visible only to you and isolated per user. The privacy and security page explains exactly what Wijnfeld stores, where it lives and which external services are involved with the sommelier and WhatsApp.
Can I add extra security to my account?
Yes. You can enable two-factor authentication with an authenticator app, so a code on your phone is required in addition to your password.
