Agreements for using Wijnfeld

1. What Wijnfeld is

Wijnfeld is an online service for managing your wine collection: inventory, vintages, drinking windows, cellar locations, tasting notes and a personal sommelier based on your own data. Wijnfeld is offered by Wijnfeld (“we”).

2. Your account

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You keep your login details secret and are responsible for everything that happens with your account. We strongly recommend two-factor authentication.
• An account is personal and not transferable.
• If you link a phone number for WhatsApp, you declare that this number is yours; linking uses a verification code sent from that number.

3. Plans and payment

• Starter is free and limited to the number of wines and sommelier questions shown on the pricing page.
• Pro and Premium are monthly subscriptions. The price is shown on the pricing page, including VAT, and is charged monthly in advance via our payment provider Stripe.
• Every plan includes a monthly number of sommelier questions (web app and WhatsApp combined). Once reached, the sommelier answers again the following month unless you upgrade.
• Promotions and discount codes apply for the stated period and cannot be combined unless stated otherwise.
• You can cancel monthly via the billing portal in your account. You keep the features until the end of the paid period; months already paid are not refunded.
• Price changes are announced by email at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.

4. Sommelier advice

The sommelier and the taste profile provide estimates based on your own data and an AI model. Drinking windows, value estimates and expected scores are not guarantees. You remain responsible for decisions about storing, drinking, buying or selling wine. Wijnfeld encourages responsible drinking.

5. Your data

Everything you enter in Wijnfeld remains yours. You can export your inventory at any time. How we handle your data is described in the privacy statement.

6. Use that is not allowed

• Using Wijnfeld for unlawful purposes or to disrupt the service.
• Attempting to access other users' data.
• Scraping or loading the service automatically without our permission.

In case of abuse we may suspend or close an account.

7. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep Wijnfeld available at all times but cannot rule out maintenance, outages or changes. Wijnfeld is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event.

8. Termination

You can have your account closed at any time by contacting us. We may discontinue the service with at least 60 days' notice, giving you the opportunity to export your data.

9. Changes and applicable law

We may amend these terms. Important changes are announced by email or in the web app. Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands. The Dutch version of these terms prevails in case of differences with a translation.
